It is a great food for heart health; besides it may improve eyesight and boost immunity as well. Hence, it is a good idea to consume this green vegetable as much as possible. This palak dosa is a nutritious, health-giving meal that you can have for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This healthy dosa is so delicious that even the kids will love it.

In my family everyone loves dosa. I tried regular dosa batter with a healthier twist by adding spinach. it turned out really delicious. Spinach dosa is an excellent way to include spinach in kids diets.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fermented dosa batter
  • Handful of fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 Green chilli
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  • ‌Blend fresh washed spinach leaves and green chilli into smooth paste.
    ‌pour fermented dosa batter in a large bowl.
  • Add spinach paste to the batter . Further add salt and little sugar . Mix it well
  • ‌Heat cast iron tawa . Spread some oil and pour a ladleful of batter on it. Spread it in a round circle and let them cook on medium flame. cook until crisp .
  • Serve this quick and easy dosa with sambar and chutney.

Notes

  • Make sure to use well-fermented dosa batter this helps to make dosa crispy and delicious.
  • Use a very little amount of water to grind spinach leaves to a smooth puree.
  • You can blanch spinach but avoid blanching for a long time because spinach loses its nutrients quickly.
