Sapada Bhakshya Recipe | Sapatha Recipe | Satyanarayan Puja Prasad with detailed photo and video recipe. Sapada bhakshya is a kind of sweet dessert made on the day of Satyanarayana puja. And only a spoon full of this prasada is distributed to each for lunch. The religiousness of this sapada bhakshya is too overwhelming and divine.

Sapada is a kind of banana sheera that is specifically made as pooja prasad. There are 5 main ingredients in this recipe. Use equal quantities of ghee, semolina (Rava), sugar, milk and that quantity is a quarter over one, or numerically 1¼. If you need to make more, then you do so, though not in multiplies of 1¼ but 2¼, 3¼, 4¼ etc. Which basically is a quarter over the cup measure.

There are many different kinds of sheera and a few varieties that are particularly popular are the regular flavoured with cardamom and dry fruits etc, pineapple sheera and banana sheera. However, this sapada bhakshya is not just any banana sheera.

In a regular sheera recipe, we usually add cardamom powder, dry fruits and nuts etc. But not in sapada bhakshya.
